This is part 1 of a YouTube video series “Famous People With Mental Illnesses“.
I sincerely wish to express my gratitude towards the author of this video for coming up with the idea for this video and for composing this information. It will definitely be of help to many to see that so many admired famous people are suffering from the same illnesses as they are.
In my opinion it is very important to make the world see that mental illnesses are not something that make a person disabled. It is very possible that a person suffering a mental illness might seem absolutely fine to the outside world.
Also, as pointed out by the author of this video, suicide brought on by mental illnesses, is the no 2 cause for deaths…but almost no attention is paid to this fact publicly. Only perhaps for a couple of weeks, when another famous person dies, but even then it is not always discussed that the cause for death was suicide.
By this I mean that also alcoholism and illegal substance abuse that lead to a persons death is also actually suicide.
I hereby repeat one of my main messages once more – If you have any kind of mental problems / if you are going through a tough time emotionally / feel that your worries are overwhelming or for which ever other reason you feel like it….please go see a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, support group or anyone that you feel comfortable talking to. Please do not feel that you need to keep your worries to yourself. You really do not have to. It is absolutely okay to share your feelings.
Also to those out there with alcohol or illegal substance abuse problems – please understand that the reasons for your overconsumption lie in your mental problems. Please go see a mental health professional – for your own sake and for the sake of your loved ones.
